attach shanty to snowmobile...

Post by Singing Bridge » December 28th, 2019, 2:42 pm

I picked up a used Otter ice shanty with a towbar… I can attach it to my bumper but it will slide sideways and scratch the daylights out of it... is there an easy receiver to place on the rear bumper? Thanks ahead of time!

You can make a hitch to mount to your rear grab bar/bumper. 2 U bolts and a piece of 1/8 inch steel will work. I put a piece of rubber hose around the grab bar so the U bolts wouldn't dig into the aluminum. It's pretty simple, and effective.

my dad took an old belt looped it over the bumper drilled three holes in a piece of flat stock two to attach the belt with a couple bolts and one to hook to the sled. Crude but effective.
