Who is John Galt?

This article from American Greatness describes how prophetic Ayn Rand's vision was when she wrote Atlas Shrugged. It is a good read, as is the novel itself. If you haven't read the book, it's split into three parts, and when finally put to film, each part required a full-length film to do the story justice. The films were independently produced on limited budgets, since their politics don't fit the Hollywood world view, and are rather obscure. If you are interested, and can find the time, read the book. If you can find them, watch the three films which were produced a year apart, and have different actors playing the same characters in each; a result of the time and financial limitations that the producers were working with. BTW, the title of this post is just a catch-phrase from the book.
