Initially, the word whistleblower can mean many things to each individual. When children we sometimes called them squealers or snitches. But the right or wrong of it back then, seldom effected more than the two people involved, the whistleblower and the guilty party. And the penalty involved was either a stern character adjusting scolding or a swift penalty boot in the dupa from dad. It was the moniker of being labeled a snitch that destroyed ones early adolescent reputation that with the guys that one feared most. But this shit is vastly different.
