Nothing has changed for me.

Unread post by capt.dan » February 3rd, 2018, 10:44 am

I wrote this 2 years ago and still stand BEHIND it today.

Whenever I don't thoroughly understand or see the human angle about or in something, I try to put myself mentally in that same place and frame of mind as that person, that thing, that particular deed or human condition to try and understand it, that in my present casual state OF MIND will not/can not fully understand. Some cultural and socially progressive things of course, I'll never understand. But in my 64 years of life, I've experienced just about every good and bad circumstance a man can have. Most all of the pitfalls and penalties from personal and even legal ramifications from younger more stupid mistakes I've made. I have indeed become mad and judgmental when I've observed the social damage that some political electives have inflicted and what their purposeful but misplaced narratives have caused IN THE COUNTRY THAT I LOVE. My opinions, my life long work ethic, my childhood lessons taught to me by my father, my social and cultural views, along with my character have been formed by all of them. I cannot think of many reasons at all why a Billionaire would drop everything, burn business relationship bridges, change his lavish lifestyle, physically charge around the country exhausting himself while submitting to continued verbal abuse and slander for over a year, to help what includes many of those same people slandering him. I sure as hell couldn't/wouldn't do it myself. So I have to conclude, it's beyond the need for anything other then his wanting to heart fully repay a system and the country that allowed such success. So, until I see or sense some other sinister, more harmful ulterior motive, I'm staying in Trumps camp.

Facts? Facts? He don't want no facts. He don't need no facts. He don't need to listen to no stinking facts!

With apologies to Alfonso Bedoya in The Treasure of the Sierra Madre.

I missed the Facts line in your video Fred. I'm assuming your eludeding to Rep. Peter King (R, N.Y.) when he seemed to be rehearsing a new version of the scene from Treasure of Sierra Madre when “Gold Hat” proclaims “Badges? We ain’t got no badges. We don’t need no badges! I don’t have to show you any stinkin’ badges!”

I was just paraphrasing old Gold Hat, Dan. I was trying to say that your factoids don't mean a darned thing to Freakin Fishing (or any other liberal, for that matter). I wasn't aware of Pete King's statements.

I'm assuming you did not read one thing I posted Freakin. I'm not surprised or even insulted, I myself usually turn away from or shut out what I don't want to see or believe, but I tried. And it May surprise a few to hear I'm AN INDEPENDENT VOTER. Voted for democrats 3 times in my life. But I don't/won't make chit up or throw out scary Tung & CHEEK term's to support or degrade any man when His evidence of success is in plane view. If Obama had done in 8 years what Trump has done in just 1, I'd be singing his praises and MIGHT HAVE VOTED FOR HILLARY. But he/they did not, and what we're witnessing right now with the FISA documents is proof positive the truth about Dem/liberal corruption and lawlessness that their reign of terror has brought over the years to a country I love. So, I'll continue to be like AN UMPIRE IN A BASEBALL GAME and call them as I see THEM. If Trump STARTS allowing to many runs, I'll pull him just like I would ANY PITCHER. ;-)
