Congressman Jack Bergman's Cormorant Letter to the Dept of Interior

Post by sagbay » November 12th, 2019, 1:09 pm

I received this email and wanted to share.
Hi Everyone,
Michelle Jelnicky from Congressman Jack Bergman’s Office, sent me the attached copy of a letter that Congressman Bergman sent to Robert Wallace, Assistant Secretary, Fish and Wildlife and Parks, US Department of Interior. Congressman Bergman strongly expressed his concerns about the lack of effective double-crested cormorant management efforts throughout the United States. It is important that we continue to support these efforts by contacting our US Senators and Representative to let them know our concerns about the detrimentally slow progress being made by the US Fish and Wildlife Service to provide cormorant control to protect free swimming fish.

I also attached the mailing addresses and links to the websites of Michigan’s US Congressional Delegation.
