This is quite a story. It took place in 2010, but was just recently published. Please read the following article from the New Hampshire Union Leader:

We went to the top of Mt. Washington in September, 2013, the easy way (cog railway). Weather was nice but overcast at the base, and socked in at the summit. That night, back at our hotel, the weather report on TV said that the summit was experiencing its first snowstorm of the season. Beautiful area when the weather is good, but not very nice when the weather is bad, and it usually is.
